St. Joseph Island talent Taimi Poldmaa – ‘Blank Spaces’ literary journal publication

Taimi Poldmaaa head shot

Tagona Press is very pleased to announce that In December 2025, multitalented Algoma creative Taimi Poldmaa will have her story ‘Digging Deep’ featured in Blank Spaces, a well-regarded, award winning Canadian literary magazine. The dispassionate ‘multitalented’ descriptor employed here does not do Taimi’s creative world achievements their full justice! Taimi is also an accomplished landscape painter who has captured many lovely Lake Superior themes. The McMichael Canadian Art Collection (2010 through 2015) is a notable example of Taimi’s visual arts’ success.

The Covid lockdowns provided an impetus for Taimi’s forthcoming work ‘Exploring The Wilds’ – a wonderful amalgam of northern wildflower paintings and Taimi’s nuanced literary exploration of their significance and ancient history. ”Exploring The Wilds’ is centred around Taimi’s St. Joseph Island, Lake Huron woodland home. We are proud to be working with Taimi – please look for ‘Exploring The Wilds’ pre-order information soon and – an exciting extra creative works dimension – the ability to acquire individual high quality prints of featured ‘Exploring The Wilds’ art.
