Algoma – Solemn Land

Tagona Press (Sault Ste Marie) is leading a unique 2022 Autumn Book Tour to showcase its ‘Ontario Four Seasons’ landscape photography series. Commencing in Prince Edward County (Rossmore) November 17th, the Tour moves to Belleville in Hastings County November 18th, followed by two days in Whitby, Durham County (November 19th and 20th). The final Tour event is set for Thursday, November 24th (commencing 6:30pm) at the ‘Art Hub at Spring’ in downtown Sault Ste Marie.

The three new showcased works build on the success of ‘Prince Edward – A Four Season County’ (2021 North American Independent Publishers’ Award – Best Canadian Non-Fiction). Like the Prince Edward County book, ‘Hastings – A Four Season County’, and ‘Durham – A Four Season Region’ each include over 80 evocative images of these locales as captured by talented photographers who love where they live.

The fourth book, ‘Algoma – Solemn Land’, is a beautiful collection of over 60 photographic images and paintings depicting the Lake Superior North Shore’s Montreal River region during the splendor of autumn.
