Algoma – Solemn Land e-book

Tagona Press as just released our ‘Algoma – Solemn Land’ e-book, a beautiful collection of over 60 stunning images capturing the Lake Superior North Shore – Montreal River region and its timeless vistas in all of their Autumn colours splendor.
In October 2021, internationally acclaimed conservation photographer, explorer, and storyteller Gary McGuffin led seven accomplished Canadian landscape artists north into Algoma where they would work in the same spaces made famous by the legendary ‘Group of Seven’ 100 years ago.

The combined photography and impressionist painting effects are spectacular. ‘Solemn Land’ is a unique, cutting edge work that we are proud to take to the world. The print version will be available in late September, but anyone purchasing the e-book now who also wishes to acquire a print copy will receive the e-book purchase price as their print copy discount – a true 2 for 1 offer!
‘Solemn Land’ and all of our Tagona books are available at www.tagonapress.com

We are now taking ahead 10 new publishing projects in the next 12 months – works ranging from military histories to mystery / suspense fiction, two beautiful children’s stories and a poetry collection.

In the next few weeks, we will be visiting Picton / Prince Edward County, Belleville / Hastings, and Whitby / Durham Region to launch ‘Hastings: A Four Season County’, and ‘Durham: A Four Season Region’ – two books that join our 2021 North American publishing industry award winner, ‘Prince Edward: A Four Season County’ as our ‘Tagona Ontario 2022’ celebration series.
And … a testament to our friend Gary McGuffin’s sustained creative brilliance – commencing in May 2023, Gary’s wonderful photography is being featured in a 5 year / 15 city North American exhibition tour led by the Smithsonian Institute – so our ‘Solemn Land’ also has a dash of ‘photographer – rock star’ appeal!

We hope you love it. Bryan
